As retribution for a poor portrayal of Wikileaks, a hacking group posted a fake story on PBS.com claiming Tupac is alive.

Hackers took over PBS’ website this past weekend, posting a bogus story that Tupac Shakur was alive and well and residing in New Zealand 15 years after his death. Shortly after the article was posted and the news went viral, PBS NewsHour’s Teresa Gorman dismissed the story on Twitter, revealing that the website was hacked.

The story purported that Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. resided in a small town in New Zealand that was left unnamed for “security risks.” The culprits behind the story are The Lulz Boat, otherwise known as LulzSec, who were seeking revenge for a “Wikisecrets” episode on Wikileaks, conveyed in a unfair light.

“Greetings, Internets. We just finished watching WikiSecrets and were less than impressed,” said the group in a statement. “We decided to sail our Lulz Boat over to the PBS servers for further… perusing. As you should know by now, not even that fancy-ass fortress from the third shitty Pirates of the Caribbean movie (first one was better!) can withhold our barrage of chaos and lulz. Anyway, unnecessary sequels aside… wait, actually: second and third Matrix movies sucked too! Anyway, say hello to the insides of the PBS servers, folks. They best watch where they’re sailing next time.”

“What Mike Epps say? ‘Gangstas f**k up too,’” Beanie Sigel told XXLMag.com. “Whatever I felt this dude Jay did wrong to me, it can’t outweigh the one thing he did do for me – he gave me an opportunity. Dude gave me an opportunity.

Hip-Hop music is once again in the cross-hairs of activists in Miami, after a deadly shooting on South Beach early yesterday morning (May 30th), that left one man dead, three police officers hurt and four bystanders injured.

Police officers open fired into the driver’s car, after he allegedly struck an officer with the vehicle and tried to run over several others, during a wild, three block chase down Collins Avenue as Urban Beach Week concluded.

An investigation has begun into the police officers actions, because a gun was not found in the car, or on the victim.

South Beach Police chief Carlos Noriega said during a press conference yesterday that there may have been other passengers who fired at police, then exited the car.

Noriega also acknowledged that police may have been responsible for shooting and wounding the four innocent people on the street during the incident.

In total, seven people, including three Miami Beach police officers, were sent to the hospital and treated for minor wounds.

According to the Miami Herald, there were so many police officers from various agencies on South Beach during the Urban Beach Weekend event that investigators are still trying to determine what department and which officers fired their weapons.

Urban Beach Week has been a lightning rod for controversy since it was founded on South Beach in 2001.

There have been several high-profile shooting deaths during Urban Beach Week, while police have been accused of racial profiling during the event, which draws as many as 200,000 tourists.

“I think we need to take back the city for the residents,” said Miami Beach Commissioner Jerry Libbin. “It’s just not right that people live in fear.”

Libbin and other officials are seeking to and Urban Beach Week and replace the popular Memorial Day event with a more multicultural gathering, which could include a new Jazz festival.

Comedian/rapper Nick Cannon addressed Eminem last night (May 30th) on CNN’s popular show, “Piers Morgan Tonight.”

Nick Cannon appeared on the show and talked about a variety of subjects, including his career, his new job as host of “America’s Got Talent,” his marriage to R&B singer Mariah Carey, and their recently born twins.

The most interesting answers came during a portion of the interview when Piers Morgan asked Nick Cannon about his feud with Eminem, over comments the rapper made about his wife on the 2009 song “Bagpipes to Baghdad.”

Cannon, who labeled their beef “awesome,” agreed with Morgan when he ascertained that the comedian would ‘take out’ the rapper if they ever met face to face on a dark street.

“He’d have too many bodyguards around him,” Cannon said. “Anyone who insults my wife or my family, I have an issue with. I do. I understand that — I would have to see where that man actually was coming from. If he was saying, man, this is entertainment, this is something. But if you literally have a problem with me, then we can solve that problem. You’ve crossed the line a little.”

The feud between Eminem, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon began around 2009, when Eminem released the “Bagpipes from Baghdad” song on the album Relapse.

The track claimed that Eminem had a romance with Nick Cannon’s wife Mariah Carey, who denied the allegations and fired back with her own song “Obsessed” and mocked Em in the video.

The Detroit rapper then followed “Bagpipes from Baghdad” with an even harsher track titled “The Warning.”

Eminem has yet to respond to any of Nick Cannon’s threats or replies since 2009.

The Internet has generated some interesting new ways to shop over the past few years. There’s no shortage of web sites offering deals – everything from daily deals to members-only private sales. But when it comes to real jaw-dropping deals, there’s one company that seems to have figured out a way to really deliver. And it must be working for its customers because the company has been around for years and more and more people are using it.

The company is called QuiBids and they auction the hottest, most in-demand electronics like Apple iPads and iPods, MAC and PC notebooks, HDTV’s as well as other items like gift cards from the top retailers. Like other online retailers, everything they sell is brand new with manufacturer’s warrantees. But, unlike other sites, the prices people pay are nowhere near retail.

How low are the prices? Well, here are some recent winning bids that we verified QuiBids customers have paid for items:

•$33.84 for a new Apple iPad 32 GB (retail $600)
•$22.10 for a new Nikon D90 Digital SLR Camera (retail $1070)
•$61.73 for a Apple MacBook Pro (retail $1800)
•$24.02 for a Sumsung 46” LED HDTV (retail $1945)

Energy drinks sweet drinks containing caffeine and often herbal supplements have been drawing scrutiny over their nutritional value. Now the nation’s largest group of pediatricians is strongly recommending that they not be consumed by children.

“Rigorous review and analysis of the literature reveal that caffeine and other stimulant substances contained in energy drinks have no place in the diet of children and adolescents,” wrote Marcie Schneider and Holly Benjamin of American Academy of Pediatrics in a review of both energy drinks, which include brand names such as Red Bull and Monster, and sports drinks.

The authors said parents and physicians need to know more about the distinctions between energy drinks and sports drinks (sweet drinks, including Powerade and Gatorade, that contain electrolytes). Sports drinks are all right for young athletes, they said.

Ja Rule is preparing to serve a two-year sentence for weapons charges and said in a recent interview that his long-running feud with rapper 50 Cent is over and that it was important to finish his new album before going to prison.

“I just want to put it out to the world before I go in,” Ja Rule told The Life Files. “It’s funny because, I’m about to go to jail, and my main concern is to make sure that I get this album done and out there for the fans.”

Ja Rule is scheduled to surrender for his two-year prison sentence on June 8, the day after his new album “The Renaissance Project” is scheduled for release. The rapper also made an effort to wrap up his “beef” with 50 Cent.

“It’s resolved now,” Ja Rule said. “I’m cool. We ain’t beefing no more. We’ll never collaborate. That’s just what it is… We don’t gotta go to war, but we’re not friends either. But we can coincide inside of a world. He’s doing him, and he’s not thinking about me, and I’m doing me and I’m not thinking about him.”
