I got this from the editor and was told to add it. Did you think Tupac was lyrical? Well, YG doesn’t

Compton’s own YG has started some controversy. He opens up about his start in the game, and being the originator of the Jerk Movement. He emphasizes his youth fanbase and how it helped him to ultimately receive support from his idol, Snoop Dogg. In regards to his relationship with 50 and G-Unit, he explains how Lloyd Banks helped him out when a New York club wasn’t having him.

On the topic of being lyrical versus making hits, YG explains that he’s more focused on making hits then being considered a lyrical artist. He admits that he started rapping to get back at someone, but says that if he “wanted to be a lyrical artist he could be one”. He also goes further saying Lil Wayne and Drake are lyrical, but Tupac Shakur wasn’t lyrical and that “he just told the truth.” Ms. Drama did the interview…now watch it.

Man, after the big hullabaloo, I was going to hold this for April Fools Day and let people figure out if its real or not, but I won’t put you through it. But, I have to say…Kim Kardashian is loved. I mean, she is hated. I don’t know, but so many people responded to this one lame rumor that I have to appreciate something about it. Anyway, one of my best favorite Tweet buddies figured this out. And, it wasn’t even a hard rumor to decode if you did a lil’ thinking. At any rate, here it is. Basically, a certain website used to go crazy hard at Kim Kardashian like everyday dissing her. And eventually it got to Kim. Kim couldn’t take it any more so basically, she gave them another option. She started to give them insider information on her life and whatever and they would ease up on her. BUT, on the FLIP SIDE, Kim allegedly started to give info on her dear friend LaLa and Carmelo as well to appease the blogosphere. Yes. This the rumor that I heard and it’s a strong one! Now, somebody told me that its actually Kim K’s mother that does it, but I don’t believe it.

Jay-Z’s company Roc Nation has been slapped with a trademark infringement lawsuit, over the diamond shaped logo the brand uses.

Volcom filed the lawsuit against Roc Nation in the Central District of California on March 29th.

According to the complaint, Roc Nation’s logo is too close to their own, which they have been using in trade since 1991.

Volcom, which is a lifestyle brand that manufactures street wear, denim and other clothing accessories, claims to own the exclusive trademark rights for the logo.

Additionally, Volcom claims the logo could create confusion in the marketplace, since their label Volcom Entertainment, also uses a similar, registered trademark.

“While Roc Nation appears to have initially used the diamond only in combination with the words ‘Roc Nation’ it is now using the diamond log on its own, causing a likelihood of confusion among consumers,” Volcom’s complaint reads.

Volcom’s complaint says they notified Roc Nation that the logo infringed on their trademark rights, but the company ignored the requests to stop using it.

The company is seeking to prevent Roc Nation from using the logo, which is popping up in clothing, on records and on Skullcandy Roc Nation Aviator headphones.

Volcom seeks an injunction against Roc Nation from using the logo and is seeking to have all product bearing similar trademarks to be destroyed.

The lawsuit claims Volcom has invested over $100,000,000 in marketing their logo, although the lawsuit specify the amount of damages being sought.

Roc Nation is being sued for trademark infringement, false designation of origin, trademark dilution, unfair competition and other charges.

Concussions in football games are taken more seriously than ever before. And going forward, that will hold true in some video games.

EA Sports President Peter Moore says that it was “wrong” when the company’s “Madden” game would allow concussed players to return to the field in the following quarter. That is no longer the case, Moore said Wednesday at the World Congress of Sports, a two-day summit in Miami.

Moore says “we have an obligation in our industry” to recognize that brain injuries are one of the biggest on-field issues facing football at all levels right now.

He also says the “Madden” game can help show proper tackling techniques.

Jay-Z’s recent visit to the Kentucky Wildcats locker room has started an investigation.

On Sunday March 27th the Kentucky Wildcats defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels in an Elite Eight match up between two legendary programs. Following the win at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, Jay-Z visited the locker room to congratulate the winning team.

There wasn’t a problem with Jay-Z the rapper being in the locker room, but it is against NBA policy for Nets minority owner Shawn Carter to be there. NBA personnel are prohibited from being in contact with amateur players until they have declared for the draft. The high-powered Wildcats have a likely pair of lottery picks on their roster as well.

It is believed that it is Jay’s relationship with basketball rainmaker William Wesley that led to him being in the room. Wesley, also known as Worldwide Wes, also has a relationship with Kentucky coach and former Nets coach John Calipari. Based on past infractions around the league, Jay-Z will likely face a small fine.

Looks like there may be some beef simmering between Beyonce and her papa Matthew Knowles. That firing may have caused some trouble. According to a recent report by the Chicago Sun Times, there is a turbulent undercurrent under these calm waters. First of all, this wasn’t something Matthew wanted – period (says the report). Also, in the report, they are saying that Jay-Z either orchestrated the move or strongly supported it. So, they are lightly painting Jay as the evil-doer, the same way they did with Swizzie and Alicia. There are a few main points that lead to the firing. 1) was the cheating allegations against B’s mother. 2) was the fact that B actually performed for Moammar Gadhafi’s family. That last one was the doozie. Business is business.

Apparently, after Foxy performed on the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage cruise, she went to get her nails done for the show. But, the issue was…she was about three hours late. When she got there, they said they were all booked up for the day and she couldn’t get her nails done. Why would they try to tell Foxy no or that she would have to wait? The word is, Foxy spazzed out on them and it was enough for them to put her off the ship…over…a…nail…appointment.
