WWE has released Serena of the Straight Edge Society. No details on why she has been released, but I will keep you informed.

Chris Jericho’s contract is about to expire, and he still hasn’t signed a deal yet. They are negotiating, but they are far apart on a deal. If anything Jericho will take some time off, then come back in a year or two. Or hopefully they can work something out.

Edge may be moving back to smackdown when they move to the Syfy network. I think Edge is better on Smackdown anyway, so this would be a good move.

This past weekend I had a Saturday I’ll never forget!  I flew to N.Y chilled on a yacht, saw the broadway show Fela 7th row center!!! (produced by Jay-Z and Will & Jada Smith) .  Its about a Nigerian musician Fela Kuti from the 70’s who created a signature style  of music referred to as Afro-funk in the 70’s! Click his name   FELA  for lil sample of his AWESOME music!  After the show I took a nice late night yacht ride to the statue of liberty, there’s nothing like NYC at night from a yacht!   So how’d all this happen well let’s just say it’s nice to have friends in high places! Fantasy Football is upon us! This is my first year as commissioner and I am THOROUGHLY excited about it! I’m a part of 4 lragues: 2 ESPN and 2 YAHOO.

I’ve got Tom Brady at QB in 3 of my leagues and one final draft next week; hopefully i’ll be able to snab him again.

I have a couple of sleeper picks this year:

SLEEPER PICK: Many times you know the players that will do well week in and week out (i.e.: Brady, Peterson, Favre, A. Johnson, etc.) Some players have potential aren’t “Key Guys” so aren’t picked up; those are SLEEPER PICKS.

Some of last years sleeper picks: Harvin, Welker, Edelmen, Rice.

This year I’m picking 2 WR’s as SLEEPER PICKS:

1. Brandon LaFell: Rookie WR for Carolina Panthers. He will be a great addition to the Running based offense, AND a GREAT compliment for the usually double covered Steve Smith.

2. Greg Camarillo: WR for Minnesota Vikings. The last 2 years this guy was an asset in the slot position for the Miami Dolphins, with a par at best QB in Chad Henne. Now that he has been traded to an injury riddled Vikings team with future Hall of Famer Brett Favre, expect him to be used a lot more. Big catches and numerous TD’s.

WWE star Lance Cade has passed away at age 29. He had heart failure and passed. Really sad to hear that. R.I.P. Lance Cade

WWE suspends Tiffany after her incident with her husband Drew McIntyre. Apparently the two had a fight inside a hotel room, and the hotel security warned them to chill out. They didn’t and Tiffany got arrested, and Drew was not charged with anything.

Samoa Joe has been suspended by the company. The Suspension stems from Joe blowing up backstage after his match with Jeff Hardy when he was upset about the match finish. Joe blew up backstage following the bout as he felt that the 30 second countdown during his bout against Hardy gave away the match finish. Joe went into the production truck following the bout to complain, an that’s considered to be a big no-no in TNA. He properly will be gone for about a month.

WWE creative has been discussing the idea of having the Undertaker face Kane at the Night of Champions Pay Per view, and then go on to face him again at the hell in a cell. Undertaker is expected to make some sort of apperence at Sumerslam this month.

Randy Orton was upset with the Miz on Raw two weeks ago during the segment where the Miz attempted to cash in his money in the bank contract against Sheamus. Orton was upset with the Miz because he felt that the position the Miz was in prior to taking the RKO from Orton gave away the fact that Orton was about to hit the move and made the outcome of the segment predictable.

You know way too many times I hear folks say that todays youth is lost and there is no need for hope. But I promise you after you see and hear this moving valedictorian speech from Deonte Bridges from Booker T Washington High School you will change your mind and heart. Vince McMahon has apparently told the marketing department not to use promotional materials featuring Shawn Michaels. While there had been a marketing idea that involved Michaels which was previously considered. Vince apparently nixed the idea in the end, and it’s also being said that those close to HBK are claiming that mentally he is of the mindset that he’s completely done with pro wrestling business for good.

The Undertaker is being advertised for Summerslam, he is not expected to return to the company in a wrestling capacity until September’s Night of Champions.
