The Damien Beatty Foundation was set up to assist: Damien Beatty, a 17 year old ex Page Football player.

On September 22, 2009 he and a friend was struck by a vehicle on highway 29; the vehicle kept going. The accident left Damien paralyzed from the waste down and he is still in Moses Cone hospital; the friend riding with him had minor injuries.

The Foundation has been established to raise monies to get Damien to Sheppard Center in Atlanta, GA. Sheppard Center is one of the best spinal rehabilitation centers in the country. Treatment would be for 3 weeks and costs $50,000; at the conclusion of which, the family is optomistic Damien will be able to walk again.

There will be fundraisers to assist with monies for the Damien Beatty Foundation, the first of which is October 3rd, at 7pm at Page High School.

Yes I’ll  admit it, I’m addicted to  The Real Housewives of ATL!   I don’t know how I got here because I was dead set against even watching the show, now I wait in anticipation every Thursday night to see what drama will unfold next.  And like most reality show watchers I have my favorites and the ones I love to hate.  Sheree is my #1  dislike, Kim is #2 but that’s another blog!  I could go on forever as to why Sheree rubs me the wrong way, I mean really I could but I won’t bother you with that.  I’d rather share her horrible fashions with you, can’t any more insulting then them.  I can not believe that these are the pieces that took her 2 seasons to get together  and were finally released at New York recent fashion week. I’d like to think she was  the laughing stock of the whole week! :)   Maybe I’m being to hard on her because I don’t like her…ehhhh I don’t think so they are really awful but I’ll let you be the judge.

I Present to you She by Sheree  :/

Because The King is coming home this week to have his Annual CP3 Weekend, i thought it was only right to let you see why he’s The King. All this week, i’ll be loading videos of some of CP’s highlights of his career, thus far -

We start with maybe the smallest guy in the league dunking on one of the biggest. These are traits that seperate CP and will mark him as one of, if not THE best PG the league has ever seen!

At the start of this week we had no one to battle C-Fo then on Thursday it was an overwhelming response to battle C-Fo.  Now this Tuesday Night its Vega Vs. C-Fo gonna be a good battle.  The keys to the battle is punchlines and always play off the words of the person your battling.

oooooo-my8By now you have all seen or heard the foul thing Kanye West said and did at the VMA’s this past weekend in NYC. Yes, like many of you with a heart I was “NOT” shocked, but still a bit upset with his actions. Let’s face it, this is not the first but I do hope it will be the last of his child like behavior. For sometime now I have been very vocal about this gifted and talented artists stupid, arrogant, and flat out rude actions on many fronts. However it seems to me he just does not get it or even cares. Now that I got that off my chest in the heat of the moment I must admit that I do feel some sympathy for Kanye. On the Jay Leno show after his outburst he admits that he never took the time off to grieve over the death of his loving mother. I remember when I lost my father I took two months off from work to take care of his estate get our house in order and to just get my mind right. With that said I do not think the death of his mother is an excuse for his actions towards Ms. Swift but I can relate. I hope in a major way Mr. West will get the help he needs to get his life in order so we can can get back to talk about his art rather than his bad behavior.

Rap Music is a bigger battle than ever,  you have to grind for real!  If your own hometown dont support you then you will never make it! So this season the battles are all bout your support system….When you battle understand that punchlines are the key and having your supporters listening.

I remember 9/11 it was on a cool Tuesday morning when some  may say “Was our defining moment for all”. The Towers where down, the Pentagon was hit,and America was wounded. That tuesday and many days afterwards our world stopped. Never to be what it was again but also never to let those cowards who attacked our brothers, our sisters, and our children who perished on those planes, towers, and buldings to ever be forgotten. We learned so much of ourselves that day as a community, as a person and as a nation. There were no color lines,  no gender bias, no Democrat or Republican,  just fellow man reaching out and taking of each other. On that day this country was trully the “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” . Yes we was once united for the world to see. For those who co-sign these cowards for what they did saying it was for a cause you damned your cause and to “HELL WITH YA ” . Because I will always “REMEMBER 9/11″

Because so many Aggies continue to ask me, “How about them Aggies?!” and “Why you so quiet after talking all that trash on the air?!” and “You talk all that junk, but then say nothing after A&T smashes WSSU!” Well to all those people I say: Here’s proof that I always straighten my face, and I always give props where props are due. Whatever Aggie Informant snuck this glimpse of me with their camera phone (clearly unbeknowst to me), although I did not do it to prove to people that i’m a Man with Morals, i appreciate you for getting the footage! If it were up to me, the only people who would’ve known i said these words would’ve been the NCA&T Football team, but now you will, enjoy:

FOOTBALL IS BACK!!!!!!!!!! Thank you GOD! First game is tonight between Titans and the super bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers. Good game, but I see the Steelers winning this, but you never know. My boys, the New York Giants are back as well! We play the Washington Redskins, and I have to admit I am very nervous about the season opener. We are suspect at wide receiver, but we sure can run the ball! Shout out to all my Dallas Cowboys  fans out there, yall are going to be horrible! Well not horrible but no playoffs for yall. Terrell Owens will be missed! And last, the Carolina Panthers. Carolina has a great running game, but as far as passing? I don’t see Jake leading Carolina to the promise land,  especially if Steve Smith is hurt. But that is the great thing about football you never know. If I didn’t mention your team, good luck!

OK so just like the next guy I have a face book and (a greatly neglected) my space page, for different reasons.  My space so I can have a small but somewhat personal connection to  those who enjoy me as a on air  personality.  Although it seems that my space has really turned into a way for everyone to promote there music I won’t get rid of the page.  I rarely get real messages anymore,   but it’s there in case someone gets a hankering to holla at me.  Now Face book I absolutely LOVE! I have 113 REAL friends like personally I know these people.  Having lived in 6 different states and traveled all over including,  foreign countries, I think its neat I can now keep in touch with the many colorful people that have crossed my path in life.   Some friendships will never be more then hi,  bye and  comment on there status when I’m moved.  But in other cases like my best friends from Jr High and High School Antoinette and Le Le I’m excited seeing them online and chatting like we haven’t been separated for decades!   But in the lovely world of Face book exists invitations, and request, people sending drinks and snacks I can’t consume (what good is that?) Asking me to join silly groups,(for what do I get a hotel discount) not to mention the games and virtual worlds  that exist.  I’ve found that some peopled are into those something SERIOUS. sorlife

I can barley handle the life I have in the real world I can’t imagine joining another world where nothing is real!    I won’t even check it out in fear of being sucked in like I was with the Atlanta Housewives and Tiny & Toya! ( 2 shameful pleasures I have).  So how caught up are you?  Do you have a whole other life in the social networking circuit?  Have you created another life for yourself that you prefer more then the real thing?    However you enjoy just be careful and don’t believe all the hype because some of it is JUST virtual!

PEACE!  Enjoy your Holiday!

Star TailBack for Oregon was a bit heated after a loss to Boise State last night. 19-8 was the final score, but The Ducks of Oregon didn’t score until late in the 3rd quarter. At the conclusion of the game, Byron Hout of Boise State talked a little TOO much trash, and THIS is what ensued afterwards:

Thing is, LaGarette Blount was making his bid for the heisman this year; after a 4 game suspension for this assault – he has all but killed those chances. I still want you to see his highlight reel that was made to persuade the judges:
